The High Commissioner of India Ashok Kantha stated that Srilanka and India maintain a bilateral relationship for a long time. He made this comment at the hive of 63rd Republic day celebrations in Colombo.
Indian Consulate General of India – Jaffna has organized a function to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of India’s Republic Day at Tilko Hotel, Jaffna on 26th January 2012.
During the visit to Delft, Minister of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development K N Douglas Devananda and Governor of Northern Province GA Chandrasiri visited the place where the rest house to be established and had discussion with the relevant officials regarding tourism development of Delft region and future plans.
Representatives of Federation of Malaysian Sri Lankan Organization met Governor of Northern Province GA Chandrasiri at his sub office in Jaffna on 26 January 2012.
Minister of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development K N Douglas Devananda and Governor of Northern Province G A Chandrasiri made an inspection visit to Delft in order to observe the on going development activities.
A housing project for families under the poverty line and water supply scheme for middle part of Delft were jointly launched by Minister of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development Douglas Devananda and Governor of Northern Province GA Chandrasiri on 26th January 2012.
