Country Director & officials of Room to Read had discussion with Secretary, Ministry Of Education, Zonal directors , Mannar District and other officials in Mannar District on 12.03.2010 at NPC Head quarters.
Room to Read is launching a program in providing infrastructure facilities to 22 Primary schools , 20 Pre-schools and 51 reading rooms in 2010 with the costing of Rs 160 Mn to resettling areas in Mannar District.
Child friendly classrooms with innovative design are to be constructed despite of traditional classrooms, a pioneer effort in Sri Lanka.
