Ceremonial opening of fishnet factory in Jaffna

The VIC-JAF Fishnet, at Beach Road, Gurunagar, Jaffna was ceremonially declared open on 06 May 2010 in the presence of a very large gathering of Religious Dignitaries of a very large, VVIPs and Distinguished Guests, Government officials and the general public.

 

The Chief Guest at this ceremony Her Excellency Ms. Kathy Klugman High Commissioner of Australia in Sri Lanka declared open the factory, together with Mrs. Sue Williams Manager, International Aid, Department of Premier and Cabinet, Victoria.

 

Also present at this ceremony more, Her Excellency Ms. ROBICHON Christine Ambassador of France in Sri Lanka, Hon. Governor, Northern Province, GA Chandrasiri, Hon. Mayor of Jaffna Municipal Council Mrs. Yogeswary Patkunarajah and Mr. Alosius John Secours Catholique – Caritas France.

The Guest of Honour were Rev.Fr.George Sigamony National Director, Caritas Sri Lanka, Rev.Fr.Damian Fernando Former National Director, Caritas Sri Lanka, Mr.K.Ganesh Government Agent / District Secretary Jaffna, Mr.John Pathinathan, Mr.Thiagarajah Prabhakaran & Mrs.Sumi Prabhakaran Consortium of Tamils in Victoria


His Excellency Joseph Spiteri Apostolic Nuncio in Sri Lanka, Rt.Rev Dr.Elarold Antony Perera President of Catholic Bishops Commission of Justice Peace and Development of Sri Lanka, Rt.Rev.Dr.Thomas Savundaranayagam Bishop of Jaffna, Srila Sri Somasundara Thesika Gnanasampantha Paramachariyar Swamikal Nallai Atheena Muthalvar being the Religious Dignitaries present among others were involved in invoking religious blessings.
